Territorial Analysis of Decentralised Energy Markets - TANDEM
News articles
The European research project “Territorial Analysis of Decentralised Energy Markets” is a direct support to the development of energy communities at subnational level. Energy communities are an EU flagship initiative, supported by a solid legislative framework (Electricity Market and Renewable Energy Directives) expected to foster the emergence of prosumer communities, hence, alleviate energy poverty and significantly contribute to the decarbonisation of the local energy markets.
The research will identify, compare and map existing energy cooperatives that meet the conditions of citizen energy communities (CECs), respectively renewable energy communities (RECs) as well as existing EaaS (Energy-as-a-Service) services forming energy communities, and examine their degree of social and territorial inclusiveness, their volume of private investment and their policy support environments.
The project also aims to predict the emergence of new EaaS communities and provide policy recommendations on how to support them grow.
More news and relevant content about the project will be shared soon on our website.
