The DIGISER project analyses the transformation of the public sector and its service provision through digital innovation while taking into consideration the diversity of the European territory in terms of socio-economic, cultural, and environmental endowments in different cities, municipalities, and regions. The project has collected and analysed extensive data from across European local public authorities through:

(1) the DIGISER survey, which collected primary data on the spread of digital innovation in European public authorities, 

(2) case study interviews and data processing exercise underpinning a deep-dive analysis of ten European cities, 

(3) Advisory Group sessions, and 

(4) a literature review on the topic.
