Consultation to shape the future of ESPON
News articles
This survey is part of the consultation that ESPON is undertaking with its main stakeholders.
The European Commission has invited all European Territorial Cooperation Programmes to join the INTERREG consultation 2024 on the future Cohesion policy (post-2027) and, in particular, the future of Interreg Programmes.
This survey is part of the consultation that ESPON is undertaking with its main stakeholders. The outputs will be used to shape European Territorial Cooperation and our future programme to better consider the needs of the stakeholders and target groups for which the programme is meant to be.
The inputs received will be compiled into a report, which will be discussed at the ESPON Monitoring Committee and then transmitted to DG REGIO. DG REGIO will combine the results with the results of the consultations organised by other ETC programmes.
This “harvesting” of inputs and new ideas will be presented and discussed during a major event organised by DG REGIO and INTERACT at the end of this year. It will be used as a base to shape the future of Territorial Cooperation and further develop the role and shape of ESPON in the future.
The survey has been elaborated following the guidelines provided by DG REGIO. In this sense, it’s focus and specific structure ensure the integration of the inputs received by the different European Territorial Cooperation Programmes in a single report.
The survey will remain open until the end of July 2024.
